Students Take Practical Exercises In Enugu

Students of the Department of Environmental Health Science, Faculty of Health Sciences, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 undertook practical aspects of their academic courses at the Enugu Study Centre, Enugu State. While declaring the event open, the centre Director, Prof. Alexander Uche Onyia, charged students to give the exercise the serious attention it deserves.

He added that the practical exercises were part of the pre-requisites for graduation. Students who participated in the exercise were drawn from all the study centres in the Southeast region.

While Dr Ayodeji Idowu, engaged students in EHS 209- General Biochemistry, Eya Chukwunoso Patrick, undertook students in EHS 213 - General Microbiology practicals. Idowu, in his chat with the NOUN news correspondent, said that the practicals were designed for students to acquire Practical knowledge and translate the theory into real-life situations.

He added that it promotes student skill development and research purposes, as corroborated by Eya. The event ended smoothly with questions and answers.
